Chapter 6: College Committees & Advisory Councils

06:35:00   Professional Development Committee
  1. Purpose: The Professional Development Committee shall recommend, plan and implement professional development activities for faculty and staff in support of intellectual and professional growth.
     
  2. Membership
    1. Administrative/Professional Staff (2): Appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Chief Financial Officer 
    2. Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence
    3. Faculty (8):
      1. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Advanced Technologies Division
      2. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Division
      3. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Business Technologies Division
      4. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Health-Related Professions Division
      5. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Humanities Division
      6. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Mathematics Division
      7. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Science Division
      8. Faculty (1): Elected by Faculty in the Nursing Division 
    4. Member of the Committee elected by Committee members, Chair
    5. Support Staff (2): Appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Chief Financial Officer 
    6. Vice President for Student Affairs, Ex Officio

The committee chair shall post a meeting summary on the campus bulletin board and post minutes/actions/plans on the Campus Drive, Committees Folder.
